Tom Banton, the hard-hitting English wicketkeeper batter often grabs the limelight for his powerful shots. However, in cricket, a wicketkeeper's role behind the stumps is equally important and Banton in the Hundred 2024 match between Trent Rockets and Southern Brave came up with an absolutely splendid catch that stunned one and all at the Rose Bowl.

It was the 44th ball of the Southern Brave's innings' and John Turner bowled it short and around leg. The left-handed Leus Du Plooy tried to work it towards the leg side, but only managed to get a faint part of his blade and hit it to the right of Tom Banton behind the stumps.

Tom Banton though was ready for it and dived full-length to his right, grabbing a superb catch to put Southern Brave in all sorts of trouble.
