Taskin Ahmed misjudged dreadfully while attempting to take a catch off Joe Root in Bangladesh’s World Cup warm-up match against England on Monday, taking place at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. The star Bangladeshi pacer had the chance to hammer the final nail into the coffin, but he miserably failed to do so, embarrassing himself.

Chasing 197 in 37 overs, England had already lost five wickets, having raced to 121 within 14 overs. Then, in the following over, Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled a short delivery pitched at outside off stump, which Joe Root, batting on 7 off 18 balls, top-edged while going for a pull shot.

The ball went towards the deep fine leg where Taskin was placed, but he only watched it fall in front of him before making the matter even worse.

After the bounce, the ball spun away from Taskin, and he was chasing the ball, only to see it touch the boundary ropes.
