In the first ODI between England Women and Sri Lanka Women, the England Women won the toss and asked the Sri Lankan team to bat first. While batting first Sri Lankan team managed to score just 106 runs and were bowled out inside 31 overs.

Mahika Gaur, who made her international debut for England shone and picked up three wickets. Mahika was born in England, but she has also represented the national side of the United Arab Emirates. 

Here's how she picked up the wicket of the Sri Lankan captain, Chamari Athapaththu:

Mahika's delivery to dismiss Chamari Athapaththu is nothing but a dream delivery for a left-arm seam bowler. She delivered the perfect outswinger of which Chamari Athapaththu completely missed the line and the ball went on to knock off the off-stump.

Mahika is a left-arm seamer and has the ability to swing the ball. Whether its the height and swing, she has it all. In December 2023, she was named in the national squad of the United Arab Emirates for the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's World Cup where she scored 79 runs and picked up two wickets. 

Being born in England, she made it to the England A squad for the series against Australia and then she was named in the England's squad to face Sri Lanka. Today, on her debut, Mahika picked up three wickets and finished off her spell of 6.2 overs having the figure of 3-26.
