The on-going match between Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Thunders witnessed Will Sutherland's class as he grabbed onto a screamer and helped his teammate bag a wicket as he dismissed Sam Billings for a low score. The crowd at Sydney Showground Stadium was roaring in happiness as he made an outstanding catch.
Billings miscued his shot against good length from Kane Richardson at 13.2 overs, hitting it high towards mid-on. Will Sutherland, on mid-on, made a phenomenal effort, turning sharply with one hand to dive full stretch and pluck out the ball from the air. The crowd went insane in disbelief as Sutherland's athleticism and sheer desire turned a relatively routine catch into a sensational one.
With this Billings was gone, and this was the fourth wicket for Thunder as Sutherland's catch brought a turning point for the Renegades.
