Young Indian opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal made his T20I debut on Tuesday in the ongoing third T20I of the five-match series against West Indies. With the series currently tilted 2-0 in favour of the hosts, the Indian team is under pressure to turn the tables.

Jaiswal's inclusion comes after replacing Ishan Kishan, whose performance in the first two matches fell short of expectations. The 23-year-old opener has been the talk of the cricketing world due to his exhilarating form in IPL 2023.
Moreover, his Test debut on this tour further strengthened his case as he dominated the series with 266 runs across two matches, including a stellar century and a fifty.
Suryakumar Yadav had the honour of presenting the T20I cap to Jaiswal. The right-hander also gave a heartfelt speech where he admired the youngster’s journey and advised him to play fearlessly.

Meanwhile, having won the toss and decided to bat first, West Indies are standing firm at 80/2 after 12 overs, with Brandon King and Nicholas Pooran looking to capitalize on the steady start. The hosts would like to post a massive score after a decent start as they look to clinch the five-match series.
