Oval Invincibles Women have played two matches, out of which their first match, scheduled against London Spirits Women, was abandoned due to rain, resulting in no play. In contrast, they lost their second match against Welsh Fire Women by three wickets. 

The Invincibles faced a frustrating batting performance, getting bowled out for 80 runs in 98 deliveries. Among the players, Lauren Winfield stood out with 42 runs, while the remaining members of the team couldn't muster more than single-digit scores.  

The bowling unit was led by Marizanne Kapp, who impressed with a four-wicket haul, and Paige Scholfield made her mark with two wickets as well. However, their contributions fell short, as Welsh Fire Women chased down the target within just 80 deliveries. 

Manchester Originals Women  

On the other hand, Manchester Originals' first two encounters were marred by rain and couldn't take place. Their victory drought ended with a five-wicket win over Birmingham Phoenix.  

Stealing the spotlight was Fi Morris, who etched her name in history by registering the best bowling figures ever recorded in The Hundred. She achieved an exceptional five-wicket haul, conceding merely seven runs across her 16 deliveries. 

Not to be outdone, Captain Sophie Ecclestone also shone, securing a four-wicket haul that dismantled Birmingham Phoenix for a total of 87 runs. Later, the Originals chased down the target in 99 deliveries, but only after losing five wickets.  

While the Oval Invincibles seek a resurgence, the Manchester Originals are fuelled by confidence, determined to uphold their victorious run and carry forward their winning momentum. All in all, an exciting 100-ball contest beckons at Kennington Oval.
