When Suryakumar Yadav is in the mood, there is no other batter who looks more beautiful than him when it comes to T20 cricket. The No. 1-ranked batsman in the world, who is also leading the Men in Blue, announced his arrival in South Africa in style on Tuesday (December 12) during the second T20I of the three-match series in Gqeberha.

And the man against whom he brought out his trademark ‘supla shot’ was Gerald Coetzee, who has recently been in the news for his brilliant performance in the World Cup 2023.

It was the fifth ball of the fourth over by Coetzee, who went for a length delivery. SKY was ready for it, as he got across the line and nonchalantly flicked it for a swashbuckling six. To be honest, it was a bread and butter shot for the stylish batsman, who was in scintillating form in India’s recently-concluded five-match T20I series against Australia.
