Veteran West Indies cricketer Sunil Narine exhibited his incredible power-hitting skills this evening, hammering a belligerent 39-ball 85 in Kolkata Knight Riders' ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Delhi Capitals.

Opening the batting for the Knight Riders, Narine stunned the hosts, ensuring a fiery start for his side through his belligerent hitting.

However, the explosive southpaw couldn't complete his century, as DC's ace all-rounder Mitchell Marsh dismissed him for 85.

The incident occurred in the 13th over of the Knight Riders' innings, when DC needed a breakthrough to break the scintillating stand between Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi.

In a desperate move, DC skipper Rishabh Pant brought Marsh into the attack. The move paid rich dividends, as the experienced cricketer got rid of Narine.

After conceding only two runs on his first two balls, Marsh bowled a short ball outside the off stump. As he usually does, Narine went for a wild hoik, only to edge the ball straight to Rishabh Pant behind the stumps.

The DC captain made no mistake, holding on to a simple catch and sending Narine back to the hut.

After Marsh got the Windies all-rounder, Anrich Nortje removed Raghuvanshi, who struck an elegant 27-ball 54. As of writing, KKR were in a commanding position, placed at 195 for three in 15 overs, with Shreyas Iyer and Andre Russell batting on 4* and 20*, respectively.
