Marcus Stoinis smashed a spectacular hundred on Tuesday (April 23) in Match 39 of IPL 2024 between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. 

The Australian all-rounder came to chase a huge target of 211, and the way he led from the front after coming to bat at No. 3 speaks a lot about his character.

Stoinis reached the landmark during the 18th over of LSG's innings, as he took a couple of runs to get there on his 56th delivery. Everyone who was there at Chepauk went silent, as LSG got to the target with three balls to spare. Stoinis fittingly hit the winning runs against Mustafizur Rahman and remained unbeaten on 124 off 63 balls.

Coupled with Stoinis' century, Nicholas Pooran played a handy cameo, smashing 34 off 15 balls with three fours and two sixes. However, it would be safe to say that it was Stoinis' single-handed effort which took LSG to home.

Earlier in the match, CSK reached 210/4, with Ruturaj Gaikwad top-scoring with a 60-ball 108. Shivam Dube too played an important knock, making 66 off 27 balls, while MS Dhoni finished things off with a boundary.
