Riding on Mitchell Starc's sensational opening over, Australia got off to a great start in their first Super Eights clash against Bangladesh at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. The express pacer jolted Bangladesh with an early setback as he castled opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim for a duck.

The incident occurred during the first over of Bangladesh's innings after Australia invited them to bat first. After bowling two consecutive dot balls, Starc stunned Tanzid with an out-swinger, cleaning him up in this process.

After bowling two successive yorkers, Starc pulled his length a little as the ball swung slightly away from Tanzid. However, as it was full and within the stumps line, the batter was forced to play a false shot.

As a result, the ball got deflected from the inside half of his bat, crashing onto the stumps. Thus Tanzid sustained his poor run, recording his second consecutive duck in the tournament.

After Tanzid's departure, skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto joined Litton Das in the middle to steady the ship for the Tigers. As of writing, both were trying to form a consolidating stand, with Bangladesh placed at 15 for one in 3.3 overs.
