Sri Lankan bowler, Sugandika Kumari, was all charged up during the Women's T20 World Cup encounter against Pakistan at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Pakistan women elected to bat first and the decision backfired as Kumari ran riot in her early spell.

She started the carnage by picking the wicket of Gul Feroza, and then jolted the struggling Pakistan side with the big scalp of keeper-batter, Muneeba Ali. The opening batter never looked comfortable in the middle, and Kumari took full advantage of it.

In the 4th over, Kumari came around the wicket to the left-handed batter and bowled a flatter and quicker length delivery outside the off. Muneeba couldn't get the desired connection on his attemptd cut shot and induced an outside-edge. 

The Sri Lankan keeper juggled the ball, but eventually took the catch to dismiss the opposition batter.

Kumari was ecstatic after the wicket and she gave a fiery send-off to Muneeba, almost taunting the Pakistan keeper.

Pakistan struggling for runs

Opting to bat, Pakistan have had a difficult start to the World Cup campaign. hey lost Feroza and Muneeba early, and the big jolt came in when Sidra Ameen, the attacking batter was dismissed for a 10-ball 12.

The run-rate is well below the 6 runs per over mark, and Omaima Sohail is the lone warrior fighting it hard for the Pakistan team. On this surface, Oakistan need at-leadt 140 runs to put up a challenge in front of a strong Sri Lankan batting unit.
