Travis Head is one of the most fearsome hitters of the cricket ball, and has played a big role in SRH's success from IPL 2024. He was in the mood again during the game against LSG and despite his team losing two early wickets, he kept hitting his shots.
Travis Head Misses His Fifty After A Belligerent Knock
Travis Head played 28 balls and hit 47 runs in his knock, hitting three sixes and five fours in his knock. He even hit Avesh Khan for an extraordinary six over extra-cover and it looked like he would kick on and get a big score. However, youngster, Price Yadav who is playing just his second IPL match cleaned up Travis Head in the eighth over to end his onslaught.
It was a full delivery on middle and Travis Head went for a wild slog across the line. However, he missed it completely and the ball shattered the stumps, bringing a wave of joy in the LSG camp. However, SRH fans assembled at the stadium were not happy and the girl was seen almost crying after Travis Head's wicket.
The wicket was big blow for SRH and a huge relief for LSG, as Travis Head was threatening to take the game away from them. Earlier, Shardul Thakur impressed in his opening spell again, and got big wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan. LSG have lost their first game, and would be hoping to chase down the target in this game and get their first point on the board.
