India Women are currently crossing blades and dominating against West Indies Women at the Reliance Stadium in Vadodara thanks to India's vice-captain, Smriti Mandhana's class. Despite, her valiant effort the stunner failed to make a well-deserved century however still received a classy standing ovation for her schinilating knock.
Mandhana, who was dismissed for 91 runs off 102 balls slammed 13 boundaries during her time at the crease. After numerous attempts by a frustrated Windies bowling line-up it was Zaida James who finally managed to get the big wicket of the right-hander. Nevertheless, Smriti had already done the damage till then with her powerful knock.
India Lose Mandhana
In the 32nd over, James unleashed a length ball coming around the fourth stump that turned back a shade after pitching. Mandhana shuffled across her stumps and looked to play the lap shot however unfortunately got beaten on the inside edge this time as she was trapped in front of the stumps.
