Ace speedster Mohammed Siraj got India a flying start to their warm-up match against Australia Prime Minister's XI in Canberra. Opening the bowling for India, Siraj bagged the crucial wicket of Matt Renshaw, jolting the hosts with an early blow.

The incident occurred during the fifth over of PM-XI's innings after Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first. Mohammed Siraj capitalised on the overcast conditions, troubling the Aussie openers with his razor-sharp bowling.

Siraj's disciplined effort eventually paid off, as he managed to bag the first wicket for India, dismissing Renshaw cheaply. From over the wicket, the right-arm pacer bowled a good-length ball that shaped slightly away from Renshaw after pitching around the off and middle stump.

As the southpaw tried to play a defensive shot, the ball took an outside edge of his bat and went straight to the slip cordon. Devdutt Padikkal made no mistake, taking a sharp low catch at second slip. Thus, Renshaw's short stay faced an abrupt end, with the batter returning to the dugout for five runs.

India Take 2 Early Wickets To Push PM-XI On The Back Foot

After Siraj got rid of Renshaw, Akash Deep dismissed Jayden Goodwin for four runs to push Australia PM-XI down on the mat. As of writing, PM-XI were 22 for two, with Sam Konstas and Jack Clayton batting on 11* and 0*, respectively.
