Explosive Australian opener Travis Head had a forgettable outing on Sunday afternoon, managing only 19 runs in Sunrisers Hyderabad's ongoing IPL 2024 face-off against Gujarat Titans.

Opening the batting alongside Mayank Agarwal, Head provided SRH with a brisk start through some flamboyant shots.

However, wily Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad emerged as the saviour for the Titans, preventing Head from playing an impactful knock.

The incident occurred in the third over of SRH's innings when GT skipper Shubman Gill brought Noor into the attack in pursuit of a breakthrough. The move paid rich dividends, as the wrist-spinner from Afghanistan castled the Australian southpaw with a beauty.

Noor bowled a googly, which turned into Head after pitching in the full length. The batter went for a wild slog sweep over the leg side field only to see the ball disturbing the stumps.

Thus, Head, who stunned MI with a belligerent knock the other night, failed to replicate a similar feat this afternoon. After his departure, dynamic South African batter Aiden Markram joined the in-form Abhishek Sharma in the middle.

As of writing, the Sunrisers are in a spot of bother, placed at 69 for two in nine overs, with Sharma and Markram batting on 27* and 5*, respectively.
