Captain Shubman Gill gave a cracking response to all his critics as he slammed his first hundred of the IPL 2024 season and his aggressive celebration was every bit of worth it. His majestic ton came in just 50 balls against Ruturaj Gaikwad's Chennai Super Kings in the 59th game of the season. Interestingly, both his fifty and hundred were scored against Simarjeet Singh.

Singh dispatched a full toss delivery and Gill wasted no time in taking full advantage of it. He bowled a full toss delivery angling in from the outside off, Gill shuffled across and whipped it straight towards the deep backward square leg for a stunning boundary. He then jumped in air and mouthed '**** OFF' passionately which reignited the celebrations of vintage Virat Kohli. 

This was also the 100th century in the history of IPL. Brendon McCullum was the first centurion and now the Prince becomes the 100th player to slam a ton. He was joined by Sai Sudarshan just shortly after his ton who also reached this milestone in 50 balls. 

At the time of writing, GT is at 209 with no loss.
