[Watch] Shami's Mouth-Watering In-Seamer Sends Back Bairstow; ENG 4 Down Now

Despite India's below-par first innings of 229 runs at a tailored Lucknow pitch, England find themselves in a spot of trouble - courtesy of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami's pin-point bowling masterclass. And the latest Englishman to fall prey to the Indian annihilation on Sunday is Jonny Bairstow.

Bairstow, who began the show with some attacking strokes against Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, had no clue once the Indian captain Rohit Sharma changed the bowling. Mohammed used his brilliant seam-bowling presentation and nipped one into the right-handed opener, for which the batter had no answer.

Shami dished the ball at a good length around the off-stump line. That one seamed into the batter, who tried dabbing it away after walking towards the bowler but only to the inside edge onto the stumps.

Watch: Shami topples Bairstow with an unplayable delivery

Earlier in the evening, the 33-year-old seamer outclassed England's miracle man with a jaffa of a delivery. Meanwhile, Bumrah snapped two wickets on successive balls.

As of writing, England have lost four of their wickets, with Jos Buttler and Moeen Ali still battling it outing. The scoreboard reads 47/4, with 183 more to get in the Ekana Stadium.

In the tournament thus far, the Indian side has won all their games. Whereas England have even lost to Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, winning just a solitary game in the tournament.
