The right-handed batter was cleaned up for 32 balls and it was a classic Shami delivery. The ball pitched just short of good-length and nipped back into the batter. Patidar who is generally very quick in picking the length of the ball, just could not guage the ball and before he could get his bat down in time, the ball shattered the stumps.

The wicket of Rajat Patidar was Shami's second wicket of the second innings and before that he trapped Anubhav Agarwal infront with a beautiful delivery. Shami then got the last wicket of the match as well and ensured that Bengal register their first win of the season. The biggest positive from India's point of view is that he bowled 43.2 overs in the match which speaks a lot about his fitness and it seems that he is back at his best and could be India's wild card entry for the five-Test matches Down Under.
