Imam-ul-Haq's run out against India (Source:@StarSportsIndia/X.com)
The mother of all clashes is here! India are up against Pakistan in a crucial Champions Trophy encounter in Dubai. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first and the openers started off well, scoring freely against pacers. Hardik Pandya though displayed his class yet again and removed Babar while in the next over, Imam-ul-Haq was run out.
India Make Strong Comeback After Pakistan's Positive Start
The run out of Imam-ul-Haq was courtesy a stunning throw by Axar Patel and has once again showed the utility he brings to the table. It was the 10th over of the game and Kuldeep Yadav tossed it up on off. Imam-ul-Haq pushed it to mid on and ran for a quick single. Axar though was ready for it, ran to the ball, picked it with one hand and fired a direct hit towards the bowler's end.
Imam-ul-Haq tried his best to get to the other end, but fell just short and it brought a big wave of disappointment in Pakistan's crowd assembled at the Stadium. Imam's partner Saud Shakeel was also hugely disappointed after the wicket and brought and came up with a loud roar in frustration.
The double-blow has hurt Pakistan's momentum and India have started to bring things back in their control. The pressure is now on Pakistan's middle order batters to show more application in the middle overs as the pitch is not easy to bat on and three Indian spinners are likely to make an impact on this pitch. Also, it is almost a must-win game for Pakistan after losing their opening encounter while India have started off the tournament with a win.
