It is an era of T20 leagues and along with the tournaments of active players, the retired players are also featuring in various competitions. The International Masters League T20 is one of them and in the first game of the 2025 season, India Masters are up against Sri Lanka Masters.

The Indian side batted first and blasted 222 on the board while in reply, Sri Lanka Masters also started on a positive note. Sri Lanka lost Tharanga early, but then Sangakkara and Thirimanne got going and finally that partnership was broken courtesy of a stunning catch by Yuvraj Singh.

Irfan Pathan-Yuvraj Singh Combine To Provide Crucial Breakthrough For India Masters

It was a shortish delivery, outside off by Irfan Pathan and a third one of the 8th over. The left-handed batter Thirimanne stood tall and slammed it towards long on. It seemed that the ball would travel all the way over the boundary line but Yuvraj Singh had other plans. He jumped full-length and timed it perfectly to pluck the ball out of thin air and stun everyone on the field.

The Indian fans naturally enjoyed the catch as one of their favourites turned back the clock with vintage fielding effort. Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of Sachin Tendulkar, also enjoyed the catch and was seen applauding Yuvraj Singh. Irfan Pathan's wife also looked happy and it was indeed a crucial wicket for India Masters.

In the first innings, Stuart Binny top-scored for India with 66 while the likes of Yusuf Pathan, Yuvraj Singh and Gurkeerat Singh also sizzled with the bat. Overall, it has been a dive into the glorious past of cricket world and Indian fans would be hoping that their team continues to grow from strength to strength.
