Rajasthan Royals are up against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the all-important Eliminator of IPL 2024. RR won the toss and decided to bowl first and managed to pick wickets at regular intervals to keep RCB in control. They could have got Patidar as well in the 11th over, but Dhruv Jurel dropped a straightforward catch and provided a big lifeline to Patidar and RCB.

It was the fourth delivery of the over and a short one on middle. Patidar tried to pull it, but all he could manage was a big top edge and the ball went in the air towards mid on. Dhruv Jurel at long on came running in and was comfortably under the ball, but ended up making a mess of the catch and dropped it to leave Ashwin and RR skipper Sanju Samson frustrated.

Patidar hit some lusty blows after his dropped catch, and eventually departed off the bowling of Avesh Khan on 34. The wicket of Patidar came in the 15th over and RCB would need to bat well at the death to get to a defendable total in this knockout match.
