The Mysore Warriors are taking on the Shivamogga Lions in the second game of the Maharaja T20 League 2024 at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Samit Dravid who is a part of the Mysore Warriors made his debut in this game. 

The Lions won the toss in the game and opted to field first. The Mysore Warriors got off to a steady start, but soon lost their first two wickets in a span of two overs while adding only 13 runs to the total.

It was at this stage Samit Dravid walked out into the crease. There were a lot of expectations on the young all-rounder, because of the surname he carries. Many fans expected to see the class of Rahul Dravid from his son. However, Samit Dravid failed to live upto the expectations. 

He lasted for nine deliveries in the middle. Samit also played a beautiful shot for a boundary. But he could not elongate his innings enough to imapct the game. All Dravid managed was 7 runs off 9 balls. 

Anand Doddamani accounted for Samit Dravid on the first delivery of the ninth over. The bowler tossed up a delivery at the off and middle stump line. Dravid went down on one knee and tried to play an aggressive sweep shot over the mid-wicket region. He got a top edge and was caught by Hardik Raj at deep mid-wicket.
