West Indian all-rounder, Roston Chase pulled off a screamer to dismiss USA's Steven Taylor in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 clash.

It didn't take long for the Windies to make an impact as they struck in the second over to give a big jolt to the USA team. Taylor, who has looked good in the tournament, couldn't get going today, and was dismissed for a paltry 2 off 7 deliveries.

Surprisingly, Andre Russell was given the second over, and he didn't disappoint, as he grabbed the crucial wicket. Russell, bowled a length ball outside the off and Taylor slashed hard at it, but failed to keep it down.

Chase, standing at backward point reacted quickly as he went low and took a fine low-catch just inches above the ground. The ball travelled quickly and the West Indian fielder's sharp skills came into play as he took a stunning catch to give the first breakthrough to his side.

The match is of utmost importance for both West Indies and USA. The two teams lost their opening fixtures of the Super 8 stage, and need to win the contest to stay alive in the race to the semi-finals.
