The co-hosts of the T20 World Cup 2024, West Indies and the USA, are playing against each other in the sixth match of the Super Eights. This match is taking place at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
West Indies need to win the game in order to keep themselves alive in the race to the semis. On the other hand, the United States will be looking to put on their best cricketing display and pull off another upset.
In the toss for the game, Rovman Powell won the toss and opted to field first. The decision might have been influenced by the fact that there was a bit of rain before the start of the game. Powell will hope that his bowlers take advantage of the conditions and restrict the US to a below-par total.
West Indies have made two changes. Brandon King, who was ruled out of the tournament due to injury, has been replaced by Shai Hope, and Obed McCoy has replaced Romario Shepherd.
The United States have also made a couple of changes. Milind Kumar and Shadley van Schalwylk are replacing Jasdeep Singh and Shayan Jahangir.
