Rohit Sharma is one of the most fearsome hitters of the cricket ball and is fondly known as Hitman for his unbelievable ability to hit effortless sixes. Moreover, in the last year or so, he has adopted an ultra-aggressive approach something which he is continuing in IPL 2024 as well. In the game against CSK, the legendary batter reached another milestone when he hit his 500th six in T20s against Ravindra Jadeja.

The record-shattering six came in the 11th over when Ravindra Jadeja bowled a full delivery on middle. Rohit went for the big sweep shot but did not time it perfectly as the ball went high in the air towards deep square leg. Tushar Deshpande in the deep ran to his left and got both hands to the ball. However, it poped out of his hand and went over the ropes creating frustration for Jadeja and all CSK fans assembled at the Wankhede.

Rohit Sharma earlier also got to his fifty with a boundary and hit some massive sixes which included a big 90-metre six.

The six against Jadeja made Rohit Sharma the fifth batter in the history of Men's T20s to hit 500 sixes. There is only one batter in the history to score 1000 or more sixes and it is none other than Chris Gayle - who has 1056 sixes to his name. The rest of the batters who have hit over 500 sixes are Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell and Colin Munro.
