In the ongoing Super 8 match between India and Bangladesh at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, The Tigers won the toss and elected to field first. 

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma went all guns blazing from the first ball. Bangladesh's decision to bring spinners from both ends failed miserably, as they stitched a 39-run stand for the first wicket within four overs. 

In their first wicket stand, the duo hit four fours and two sixes. Talking about the maximums, Virat started the proceeding with a six off Shakib Al Hasan. Soon Rohit followed Kohli's footsteps and smashed Hasan for a massive 97-metre six. 

On the first ball of the 4th over, Shakib tossed the ball up but Rohit used his feet and hit a straight six that went miles in the air.

Soon after hitting a six, Rohit also hit a four in the same over before throwing his wicket away to Shakib while trying a similar shot to go for a six. At the time of writing this article, India are 53/1 after 6 overs. 

India have won their first Super 8 game against Afghanistan, while Bangladesh faced a defeat against Australia in their opening match of this round.
