In an interesting incident, Indian captain Rohit Sharma lost his cool on day 2 of the ongoing Test match against Australia as an intruder interrupted the proceedings for a brief period. Led by Rohit, India are currently facing Australia in the fourth Test of the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy Down Under.
It's worth mentioning that the game hung in the balance at stumps on day 1, with Australia losing six crucial wickets after batting masterclasses from Sam Konstas, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith. The second day began on a rough note for the tourists, as the gritty duo of Smith and Pat Cummins frustrated them with patience and determination.
As if Cummins and Steve Smith's partnership wasn't enough, things became more frustrating for Rohit when a pitch invader disrupted the game briefly by entering the ground. The Mumbaikar was visibly irritated by the incident that raised question marks on the security at the iconic venue.
Australia Steadily Near 400 In MCG Test
Riding on a sensational seventh-wicket partnership between Smith and Cummins, Australia have raced to 383 for six in the MCG Test, as of writing. While Smith has completed a marvellous century, Cummins has done a great job by playing the second fiddle. With the MCG pitch offering little assistance to the bowlers, it could be a very long day for India if these two keep batting.
