The highly anticipated India-New Zealand World Cup 2023 encounter is finally underway in Dharamsala and it is India who have won the toss and have decided to bowl against a team that broke their World Cup dream four years back in Manchester. Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah made sure that Rohit Sharma's decision is backed with good new-ball bowling and Conway was sent back by Siraj in the 4th over of the game for a 9-ball duck. However, in the 5th over, India created a big blunder as Rohit Sharma decided to take the DRS off an LBW appeal that looked clearly not out to the naked eye.

The bowler was Jasprit Bumrah and he bowled a length delivery angling into leg from 'round the wicket. Rachin Ravindra tried to clip it but missed it as the ball hit his pads which was followed by half an appeal from the bowler. However, KL Rahul behind the stumps and slip fielders were pretty excited and thought it was out, which forced Rohit Sharma to take the DRS.

The replays rolled in and the Ultraedge showed no bat. However, the Ball Tracking showed that the impact as umpire's call and the ball clearly was missing the stumps. It brought a disappointing look on Rohit Sharma's face and India ended up wasting one review which can be crucial in a big game against the Kiwis.
