Rohit Sharma is one of the most fearsome hitters of the cricket ball and when MI were thrashed for 277 by SRH batters, all hopes were on Rohit Sharma to fire at the top of the order and take them close to the almost impossible target. The Indian skipper started off with a bang as well, hitting SRH bowlers all over the park and got a lifeline as well when Abdul Samad dropped him on the final delivery of the fourth over.

However, the joy for MI fans was short-lived as Rohit Sharma departed in the very next over with Pat Cummins getting the better of him after being hit for a six. Talking about the drop catch, it was in the same over where Ishan Kishan lost his wicket. Rohit in a bid to keep the momentum going, tried to pull a shortish delivery from Shahbaz Ahmed. 

However, he mistimed it badly and the ball went high in the air behind mid on. Abdul Samad at mid on ran behind and got under the ball, but ended up making a mess of the catch as the ball popped out of his hands.
