New Zealand's star batter Rachin Ravindra put on a stunning show in the Champions Trophy final against India in Dubai, leaving Rohit Sharma and his team frustrated. Opening the innings alongside Will Young, Rachin wasted no time in taking on the Indian bowlers, especially Hardik Pandya.

The defining moment came in the fourth over of New Zealand’s innings when Hardik was hammered for 16 runs, with Rachin displaying his exceptional stroke play.

During the over, Hardik bowled a short ball at 130 km/h, but Rachin stood firm and pulled it over square leg for a boundary. The ball wasn’t quick enough to trouble him, and it comfortably bounced once before crossing the fence.

Adding to India's woes, Hardik then bowled a delivery down the leg side, which Rachin ignored, leading the umpire to signal a wide. On the very next ball, Hardik pitched a good-length delivery outside off, but Rachin played a brilliant shot, opening the face of the bat and sending the ball racing between backward point and point for another four. The Indian fielders had no chance of stopping it.

The real highlight of the over came when Hardik delivered a short ball around the middle stump at 134 km/h. Rachin picked the length early and, with complete authority, pulled it off the front foot for a massive six over mid-wicket. The ball traveled an astonishing 78 meters, showcasing his power and confidence. Rohit Sharma, visibly frustrated by the onslaught, was caught on camera expressing his anger on the field.

At the time of writing, New Zealand are at 46 for no loss in six overs, with Rachin Ravindra and Will Young still going strong.
