Sarfaraz Khan made his much-awaited debut in the third Test against England at Rajkot and looked in superb touch before his misunderstanding with Ravindra Jadeja led to his downfall. It was a shocking run out for everyone including Indian skipper Rohit Sharma who threw his cap in disgust and split out some ugly words as well.

The run out happened on the fifth delivery of the 82nd over when Jadeja was batting on 99 and the anticipation of his century was sky high. Naturally, Jadeja was keen to get a century and Sarfaraz too was keen to take a single and help his partner get a much-deserved century.

So, in that excitement to get a single, Ravindra Jadeja just pushed a full delivery from Anderson to mid on and initially called for a run. However, after seeing that the ball is going straight into the hands of the fielder, Jadeja stopped. 

Sarfaraz though was committed to the run till that time and by the time, he decided to go back, a direct hit from Mark Wood at the non-striker's end left him high and dry. 

Everyone on the ground was in shock and Rohit Sharma too was not happy and was quite frustrated with the run out. Sarafraz had a look at Ravindra Jadeja and then walked off after an unfortunate run out on Test debut.
