Mohammad Rizwan was made the captain of Pakistan in white-ball formats from the Australian tour and the wicketkeeper batter has lived upto the expectations so far. Pakistan won the ODI series in Australia and South Africa and now the captain has delivered with the bat in a must-win game with a fourth ODI century under immense pressure.

Rizwan came out to bat with Pakistan two down on 87 in the 10th over in their run-chase of 353. Soon, Fakhar Zaman also lost his wicket and it looked like Pakistan would crumble under pressure. However, the captain stood tall and found an able partner in the form of Agha Salman and duo stitched a record-breaking stand to take Pakistan out of deep waters.

Rizwan-Salman Ali Agha Deliver Under Pressure

The century came on the first delivery of the 43rd over. It was a length delivery on off and Mohammad Rizwan in his typical fashion swiped it all the way over deep mid-wicket for a six. It was followed by a passionate celebration from the Pakistan captain. His partner Salman Ali Agha lifted him in joy and then Rizwan went on his knee to thank the almighty as the whole Karachi Stadium applauded their hero.

After Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha also got to his century and the duo stitched a highest-ever fourth-wicket stand in ODIs for Pakistan and in process took them to the final of the tri-series. In the first innings, Pakistan ended up conceding a massive score of 352 as their bowling faltered again at the death with Klaasen hammering their bowlers all over the park. They needed a special effort to get over the line in the second innings and Rizwan along with Salman Ali Agha produced exactly that.
