Babar Azam, former Pakistan captain, was dismissed on 23 off 19 balls in an ODI game against South Africa. This marked his second cheap dismissal in the ongoing tri-nation series and fans were absolutely furious.

`To salvage the Tri-Nation series, Pakistan faced South Africa in the third ODI earlier today. Having lost the first game against New Zealand, Pakistan fielded first but the Proteas ended up posting a grand total of 352 runs.

Temba Bavuma, Matthew Breetzke and Heinrich Klaasen slammed 80-run runs each to power South Africa to a commanding total.

While Pakistan were under pressure, openers Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam were off to a flying start.

Babar Azam brutally mocked on social media

Meanwhile, Babar Azam, who has been struggling with form for a long time, once again threw his wicket away after a promising start. Wiaan Mulder bowled a 137 kph delivery that turned back in sharply, beating Babar’s attempted flick and striking his pad.

While the Pakistan skipper reviewed the decision, UltraEdge confirmed no bat involved, and ball-tracking showed three reds, sealing his fate. A stunned Karachi crowd watched in disbelief as Babar walked back for 23 off 19 balls.

However, fans on social media lashed out at the veteran batter over his incessant failures. With the Champions Trophy in sight, Pakistan fans were unimpressed with Babar’s unforgivable form.

Many called him a fake king and criticised him for wasting a team review as well.

Meanwhile, after Babar Azam’s dismissal, Pakistan also lost Saud Shakeel on 15 off 16 balls. The responsibility of the chase now lies on Fakhar Zaman and captain Mohammad Rizwan’s shoulders.
