ICC confirm warm-up matches [Source: @ICC, @TheRealPCB/x]
The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the schedule of all warm-up fixtures for the upcoming 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. As per the schedule, the warm-ups will be taking place between February 14 and February 17, while the main event will commence from February 19 onwards with a match between New Zealand and tournament co-hosts Pakistan.
Notably, the Indian cricket team, along with teams like Australia and England have decided against featuring in warm-up fixtures prior to the eight-team event.
ICC announce Champions Trophy warm-ups
The ICC and the PCB have arranged 2025 Champions Trophy warm-up fixtures for teams like New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Notably, New Zealand and South Africa cricket teams are already in Pakistan to compete in a tri-nation ODI series against the hosts.
As many as four warm-up matches will be played between February 14 and February 17 across three different venues, with two of them to be hosted by the National Stadium. Here is a look at the entire schedule of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy:
