Rinku Singh played a quickfire 9-ball 20 not out on Tuesday (April 15) in Match 31 of IPL 2024 between KKR and Rajasthan Royals, taking place at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The Southpaw, who did not get many opportunities until Tuesday, went hard against Avesh Khan, as he got 10 runs off two balls during the 18th over of KKR’s innings to help them finish with 223/6.

To begin the carnage, Rinku made some room before playing a flat-batted slash over cover for half a dozen. Then, on the next ball, he showed his class yet again, as the perfect placement between the point and short third off Avesh helped him to add another four runs to the scoreboard.

At the time of writing this, RR are 30/1 after 2.3 overs, with Yashasvi Jaiswal already returning to the pavilion. Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson are at the crease, on a mission to pull off a memorable run chase in front of thousands of KKR fans at Eden Gardens.

For KKR, Sunil Narine made headlines earlier by smashing a blistering century, his first in the competition. Riding on that, coupled with Rinku's handy contributions, KKR finished with a huge total.
