Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) newest addition, Tim David was humbled by Lockie Ferguson after he dismissed David moments after the latter the pacer for a six. The entertaining moment took place during an ILT20 2025 season league match.

The ILT20 2025 season hosted its 24th fixture in Dubai between Desert Vipers and Gulf Giants. The Giants batted first and were off to a terrible start, having lost 3 wickets in 8 overs. Middle-order was dismantled in single-digit scores before Tom Curran delivered a sensational anchor knock.

Tim David concerns RCB fans with lean patch

The biggest disappointment for Gulf Giants was finisher Tim David. He showed a lot of promise by smashing a length delivery straight over Lockie Ferguson’s head for a spectacular six that sailed into the sight screen.

However, Ferguson responded brilliantly just moments later on the next delivery. Bowling a fuller-length delivery on the pads, he lured David into a flick shot. 

Tim David, confident after the previous maximum, attempted to send the ball soaring again. Unfortunately for the Giants, the powerful flick lacked elevation and went straight to Adam Hose stationed at deep mid-wicket. 

Hose made no mistake, pouching a simple catch that sent Tim David back to the pavilion for a brief 9 runs stint off 10 deliveries, which included just one six. The dismissal left the Gulf Giants in a precarious position, leading to a lowly first-inning total of 129/8.

Tim David is a part of RCB in IPL after the franchise bought him during the mega auction held at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Hence, his ill-form with concern RCB fans with less than 2 months left for the IPL 2025 season to begin.
