Ravindra Jadeja, easily world’s best fielder at the moment, plucked an absolutely ripped of a catch on Thursday (October 19) during India’s World Cup 2023 clash against Bangladesh in Pune.

For added entertainment, the 34-year-old asked for a gold medal, which is awarded at the end of every India's World Cup match for the best fielding this year.

It was not a great delivery by Jasprit Bumrah, and Mushfiqur Rahim saw the opportunity to cut it. However, Ravindra Jadeja had other idea in mind, as the all-rounder, placed at backward point, dived right with perfection to complete a spectacular catch.

Within a moment after completing it, Jadeja did a gesture of giving him a medal, which India’s fielding coach T Dilip gives after every World Cup match to a certain player for valiant efforts.

Jasprit Bumrah also clapped for Jadeja for putting up an outrageous effort, whereas the latter was all smiles after doing that gesture towards the dressing room.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh, after opting to bat, closed on 256/8, with Litton Das top-scoring with a superb 82-ball 66.
