There is no denying that Rashid Khan is the most ferocious T20 bowler in the world, and his instinct is what makes him superior to any other. The 25-year-old stepped up yet again on Sunday, taking the game away single-handedly from Ireland in a must-win tie between them and the Paul Stirling-led side in Sharjah.

After hitting a smashing 12-ball 25, Rashid returned excellent figures of 4-0-14-4 with the ball to help his side register a 10-run win. He was on a hat-trick in the series opener, and same thing happened in the second T20I as well.

And the reason behind him at that point was a beautiful googly by the wizard, which left Ireland’s reliable middle-order batter Harry Tector bamboozled.

After dismissing Lorcan Tucker during the ninth over of Ireland’s innings, Rashid bowled a fullish delivery around the off stump to welcome Tector. The right-handed batsman went for a defensive push on the front foot, only to see the ball going between bat and pad to rattle the stumps.

Unsurprisingly, Rashid's trademark stretched-arm celebration happened immediately after the dismissal, leaving the fans go berserk. His ardent Indian fans, who will be rooting for him when he plays for Gujarat Titans for IPL 2024, were delighted as well after watching him make significant impact in his return.
