Quinton de Kock is one the most charismatic batters in world cricket and whenever he gets going, he is a treat to watch. He has an effortless elegance in his strokeplay and is one of the most complete batters. In South Africa's opening game of World Cup 2023, against Sri Lanka, Quinton de Kock has once again showed his class with a fantastic century.

The Southpaw is naturally an aggressive batter but in this match, de Kock showed lot of maturity after Bavuma departed early and made sure that he does not play any loose shot. He got to his fifty in 61 balls, which is not the pace in which Quinton de Kock bats, but he clearly had a vision and a sense of responsibility in his mind during this knock. However, as soon as he got to his fifty, he changed his gears seamlessly and launched a counter-attack on Lankans, hammering them all over the park.

Quinton de Kock eventually got to his century in just 81 balls, scoring his next fifty runs in just 30 balls.

It was followed by an aggressive celebration from Quinton de Kock, which is very rare and it clearly shows what this World Cup and playing for South Africa means for the talented left-hander. He clearly looks like a man on mission in this World Cup. Unfortunately, he departed on the very next ball, trying to pull another one away but got a top edge that was easily taken by Dhananjaya de Silva.
