After a gritty knock in the previous game of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, Imad Wasim was brought down to Earth by Obed McCoy who took his second wicket of the match.

The pressure was on Antigua and Barbuda Falcons batter, Imad Wasim, when he walked out to bat in a tricky situation.

The side had already lost three wickets and the onus was on the Pakistan batter to steer the side towards a decent total. However, a confident Obed McCoy had some other plans as he dismissed Imad for a low-score of just 2 off 5 deliveries.

McCoy had already struck with the wicket of Fakhar Zaman, and he continued the good work, when he delivered a fuller length ball outside the off and Imad played away from his body. It induced an outside-edge and the keeper took the simplest of catches as the Imad Wasim failed to deliver the goods.


Barbados bowlers push Antigua on the backfoot

Antigua started the innings with a flurry of boundaries, courtesy Kofi James. The elegant batter targetted Maheesh Theekshana, but was dismissed in the next over by Jason Holder.

For a brief period, Fakhar started the onslaught and smacked McCoy for 14 runs, but he was dismissed for 17 as the team from Antigua found themselves under water. The wicket-carnage didn't end there as the Barbados Royals bowlers, took a couple of more wickets to push the opposition on the back-foot.
