Nitish Kumar Reddy has been the standout batter for Team India in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Despite batting lower down the order, Reddy has been a beacon of consistency, scoring crucial runs when the team needed them most. His latest performance not only lifted India out of a precarious situation but also showcased his immense talent and composure under pressure.

Among his many impressive strokes, one shot truly caught everyone’s attention—a beautiful straight drive reminiscent of Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar.

During India’s innings in the 89th over, Scott Boland was bowling a full delivery outside the off stump at 130.7 kmph. Reddy leaned into the ball and executed a perfect straight drive, sending the ball racing to the boundary.  He presented a full face of the bat, meeting the ball sweetly in the middle, and there was no chance for Boland to stop it in his follow-through. The fielders didn’t even try to chase the ball.

The shot was so precise and beautiful—straight as an arrow. The crowd, along with Boland, couldn't help but appreciate the class of Reddy’s stroke. It was a boundary that will surely be remembered.
