The game of cricket comes up with several surprises. But you may not have seen Formula 1 collide with cricket and that too in the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. But there is nothing impossible in the game and on day 3 of the Melbourne Test, the cricket world witnessed a crazy crossover between Formula 1 and cricket.

The intense clash between India and Australia is taking place at Melbourne Cricket Ground and just got a dose of the Formula 1 flair. The Australian broadcaster Fox Cricket gets safe hands to drive their camera on the field as famous Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri took charge in the ongoing match.

Unimaginable Crossover At The MCG

Cricket fans across the globe are watching some unmissable cricket actions between India and Australia. As both cricket greats are facing each other in MCG, the thrills are touching different heights. But the match took a dramatic turn when the Formula 1 great Oscar Piastri switched his role and stepped up into the cricket field.

On day 3 of the ongoing Test match, Melbourne Cricket Ground welcomed a very special guest Oscar Piastri who swapped the racetrack for some red-ball action. As he entered the match, Piastri was seen in a unique role as he took control of the camera of the Fox Cricket. After Cricket Australia shared the moment, that has gone viral.

The Victoria-born F1 driver Oscar Piastri is known for his excellence in the Formula 1 field. Piastri is quickly rising as one of Formula 1’s brightest talents. In 2021, the ace driver took his career to new heights by winning the FIA Formula 2 Championship. Claiming five wins, six pole positions, and 11 podiums made him the first driver to win the Formula Renault Eurocup, Formula 3, and Formula 2 titles in consecutive years.


MCG Is Witnessing An Intense Clash

After two days of thrilling red ball actions, India and Australia are back again in Melbourne. After Australia put on a huge total of 474 runs while batting in the first Innings, Team India’s struggle remains the same. While bowling in the first innings, Jasprit Bumrah became the crisis man again as he secured 4 crucial scalps. Jadeja also secured 3 wickets.

Team India’s batting woes remain the same as Rohit Sharma fell cheaply in just 3 runs while opening the innings. After KL Rahul walked away, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli built a 100+ run partnership. After Jaiswal's unfortunate run out in 82 runs, Kohli departed scoring 36 runs. As the second session is going on, Team India is still 213 run away from the target.
