Nicholas Pooran is one of the most powerful hitters of the cricket ball and he showed all of that in the 27th match of 'The Hundred 2024' with his blistering 66 off just 33 balls. He took Northern Superchargers to three-wicket win and the knock included two fours and eight sixes. Also, one of those sixes was of 113-metre and it went right out of the Old Trafford to stun capacity crowd present at the ground.

It was the 74th ball of the innings and Scott Currie bowled it full and on middle. Nicholas Pooran went deep in his crease and whipped it off his pads with great disdain and timing and the ball went out the ground in the mid-wicket direction.

It was absolute carnage from Pooran and  the likes of Harry Brook and Adam Hose as they chased down the target of 153 with three balls to spare after being 29-2 in 36 balls at one point in time.

It was Northern Superchargers' fourth win in seven matches and they moved to the third spot on the points table while Manchester lost their sixth game of the season with only one win to show for their efforts so far.
