Led by Shubman Gill, team India had a dream start to the ongoing first T20I against Zimbabwe as ace speedster Mukesh Kumar struck on his first ball to dismiss Innocent Kaia for a golden duck. 

On Harare's batting-friendly surface, Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and put Zimbabwe into bat first. 

After Khaleel Ahmed conceded six runs in the opening over, Mukesh got rid of Kaia with a ripper to get the first breakthrough for India.

Bowling the first ball of his over, Mukesh delivered a full-length ball that jagged back into the batter. 

As it was pitched full, Kaia's eyes lit up as he went for a drive through the off side. However, he failed to crack the shot, with the ball taking an inside-edge of his bat and uprooting his leg stump. 

While Mukesh celebrated the dismissal, Kaia made a long walk to the pavilion with disappointment written all over his face. 

Meanwhile, after Kaia's departure, young batter Brian Bennet joined Wessly Madhevere in the middle. As of writing, Zimbabwe were rebuilding their innings, placed at 22 for one in 3.5 overs.
