[Watch] Mohammed Siraj Gives 'Death Stare' To Shubman Gill in Nets Ahead Of 1st Test vs West Indies

The Indian pace attack has grown by leaps and bounds, especially in Test cricket. Studded with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj, the Indian pace bowling department has given sleepless nights to the bests in business over the years.

Talking about Siraj, the pacer from Hyderabad rose to prominence during the national team's Australia tour in 2020-21 and has been a force to reckon with the ball since then. Known for his aggression, Siraj recently presented a fine example of sheer competitiveness during India's ongoing net session before the first Test against West Indies.

As per a video shared by a OneCricket correspondent, the Indian speedster was involved in an intense battle with his teammate Shubman Gill in the nets as a part of his preparations before the much-anticipated tour.

As clearly seen in the video, Siraj paused for a while after delivering a good-length delivery, giving a death stare to Gill, who looked unfazed after defending the ball with a straight bat. They also had a brief exchange of words as soon as Siraj finished his follow-through.

Both Siraj and Gill will play significant roles for India in the series. While the former will lead the visitors' bowling attack in the absence of ace seamer Mohammed Shami, the latter will face the rampant West Indian pace battery with the new ball alongside his opening partner, Rohit Sharma.

The first Test between the two teams begins in Dominica on July 12.
