The biggest battle of the Big Bash League is currently underway as Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder are fighting it out in the BBL Final at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. In 'a one of its kind' moment, Riley Meredith, ex Mumbai Indians player, bowled an absolutely perfect yorker, a delivery straight from the book of Jasprit Bumrah, India's wonder boy.

Bumrah, who plays for Mumbai Indians in IPL, is easily one of the greatest bowlers in modern era. This delivery by Meredith to dismiss Sam Billings replicated the 'yorker king' Bumrah's style. Billings, who has also played in IPL under MS Dhoni's Chennai SuperKings, was forced to walk back after scoring 20 runs off 14 balls. He slammed one boundary and a huge maximum before falling prey to the killer delivery.

In the 15th over, Riley Meredith bowled a full and straight delivery right at the stumps. The 137 kmph delivery was too perfect. The textbook yorker was too hot to handle for Billings, who went for the heave across the line however missed it and the ball quickly rattled the stumps. Meredith and his team were pumped as the delivery sent the Englishman back to the pavillion.

Hobart Hurricanes need 183 to win

Sydney Thunder posted 182/7 in the final at NINJA Stadium, thanks to a strong 97-run opening stand between David Warner (48) and Tanvir Sangha (67). Despite a mid-innings collapse, contributions from Billings, Davies, and Green helped them finish decently.

Ellis and Meredith took three wickets each for Hobart Hurricanes, who struggled with the ball outside the Power Surge. With 183 to chase, the Hurricanes have started strong with Mitchell Owen thrashing the opposition bowler relentlessly. Hobart is at 110/1 after 7.3 overs.
