Meg Lanning's wicket on Wednesday (X.com)
Meg Lanning, easily the greatest batter as well as the greatest captain in the history of women's cricket, lost her wicket to a 16-year-old on Wednesday in Match 2 of the ongoing Hundred competition between Southern Brave and London Spirit at The Rose Bowl, Southampton.
The 32-year-old made a run-a-ball 12 before the debutant Tilly Corteen-Coleman completed an excellent reflex catch off her own bowling to get a wicket, which is easily her best success in a short career.
The shot was hit hard by the former Australian skipper, but Coleman kept her eyes on the ball, and instinctively held on in order to grab a superb catch. While everyone around her was jumping in joy, Coleman could not believe what just happened.
