The Kiwi batsman's initial fifty runs came off 40 balls, including a solitary boundary and three towering sixes that raised his bat to acknowledge the crowd's applause. However, he was far from done. In a stunning display of acceleration, Guptill reached his next fifty in just 18 deliveries, with an additional six sixes.

Notably, this century marked a historic achievement for both Martin Guptill and the Trinbago Knight Riders. It was Guptill's first century in the CPL. Additionally, he became only the second player from the Trinbago Knight Riders, after Colin Munro, to achieve this feat in the CPL.

Barbados Royals are now gearing up for their next challenge against champions Jamaica Tallawahs at the Kensington Oval.
