In a tense battle, Mahedi Hasan dismissed Mohammad Naim by taking a sharp catch off his own bowling. He had an angry reaction after taking the catch as he aggressively stared at the departing batter.

The Bangladesh Premier League 2024-25 season saw Rangpur Riders clash with Khulna Tigers. The Riders batted first, and Khushdil's extraordinary 73* off 35 balls powered his team to a commanding total of 186 runs. Iftikhar Ahmed also added a crucial 43 runs off 36 balls to contribute to the team's cause. 

In the second inning, though Darwish Rasooli was dismissed early, Mohammad Naim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz stitched a 61-run partnership to rebuild the Tigers' innings. Just when the Tigers appeared to be cruising in the chase, Mahedi Hasan stepped up for the Riders with a crucial breakthrough.

Coming into the attack with a clear plan, Mahedi bowled a fullish delivery at the off stump. The key was the extra pace he generated, catching the batter off-guard. 

Naim was expecting to play an expansive drive, but the speed of the ball hurried him. Unable to time it properly, he ended up chipping the ball tamely back towards the bowler. Hasan swiftly moved to his right to complete the catch. The celebrations that followed caught the fans' attention. 

Mahedi Hasan was fuming as he gave a long stare to Naim. His teammates calmed him down in time to avoid escalation. 

Meanwhile, the Khulna Tigers saw a huge collapse from the lower middle order as three batters were dismissed off a duck each. The match went until the final over, but the Tigers fell short of eight runs to bear a heartbreaking loss.
