In an exciting SA20 2025 clash between MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals, Dayyaan Galiem bowled Rassie van der Dussen to get a crucial breakthrough. And in a fit of rage, he mocked the batter with a cold send-off. 

MI Cape Town batted first against Paarl Royals and lost Ryan Rickelton early on 8 runs. However, Rassie van der Dussen and Reeza Hendricks stitched a 79-run partnership for the second wicket. 

Cape Town brought up 52 runs in the powerplay and were headed for a huge total before Dayyaan Galiem nailed a crucial and much-needed breakthrough for the Royals.

Skipper David Miller's tactical brilliance came into play as he reintroduced Galiem into the attack. 

Bowling over the wicket, Galiem cleverly employed a short-of-a-length delivery outside off, a slower off-cutter that deceived the experienced van der Dussen. The batter, standing tall, aimed to punch it through the off-side. However, he found himself cramped for room as the ball turned in just enough to unsettle his timing.

In his attempt to force the shot, van der Dussen got a thick inside edge that crashed onto the stumps, leaving him visibly frustrated as he walked back to the pavilion for a well-made 43. 

The wicket brought joy and relief to Galiem and his teammates, who celebrated the crucial breakthrough with sheer excitement. The bowler let out a huge roar and further mocked the batter with a cold celebration.

Reeza Hendricks followed in Dussen's footsteps to get dismissed on 59 off 37 balls. Delano Potgieter added a pivotal 29 off 18 balls to ensure MI Cape Town finishes with a challenging total of 172 runs.

Galiem, meanwhile, finished his spell with three wickets, whereas the rest of the bowling lineup chipped a wicket each.
